Target Audience:

Healthcare professionals across all roles who are committed to improving patient relationships and delivering more compassionate, trust-centered care

Program Description:

In today's fast-paced healthcare environment, clinical excellence alone is not enough—patients also need to feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. This interactive workshop explores the human side of healthcare, focusing on how providers can build trust, strengthen relationships, and create more compassionate patient experiences.  Attendees will learn how small shifts in behavior and mindset can profoundly impact patient confidence, satisfaction, and outcomes. This session emphasizes reconnecting with the purpose behind healthcare: caring for people, not just treating conditions. Whether you’re a clinician, administrator, or support staff member, you’ll leave with actionable tools to foster trust, reduce patient anxiety, and bring more meaningful care into every interaction.

Participants will learn to:

  1. Identify the benefits for patients & staff when authentic trust is present and the consequences when it’s absent
  2. Explore & practice the 4 elements of the Trust Equation to understand the barriers & opportunities for patient trust
  3. Appreciate how sincerity & listening strongly contribute to demonstrating care & promoting trust with patients

Consider taking this workshop if the following are mostly true for you:

  • You recognize that interactions over the past 5-10 years have gone from personal to transactional…and you’d like to reverse the trend
  • You desire to elevate the patient experience & build better relationships with patients
  • You want to inspire patients to be more engaged in their care
  • You’d like to help patients open up about their health concerns in a way they feel safe
  • You’d like to feel better about the care you’re providing and connect with patients in ways you aren’t able to routinely connect
