Speech-Language Pathologist

OB Nursing Clinical Development Educator, per diem

Seeking to employ a per diem/occasional RN with passion and experience in OB/Labor & Delivery who also possesses interest/experience in educating rural nursing and clinical staff practices in maternity services. This role will collaborate with the RWHC Education Team and the Maternity Services Coordinator to deliver maternity services education to RWHC member hospitals throughout the state of Wisconsin and other partners in/out of the state. Education delivery will primarily occur on site at RWHC in Sauk City, WI. Meetings, preparatory work and training development may be conducted remotely from home or in the office. Some travel to member hospitals and partner sites across the state of Wisconsin may be required. Most dates of work/education delivery are known well in advance and can be coordinated based on availability of this role.

Expected activity includes co-facilitation of the hybrid model of the OB Boot Camp program, which is conducted twice a year, intermittently over several weeks—both virtually and on site at RWHC (4, 4-hour virtual classes and a concluding 2-day in-person/hands-on class). This role will also co-facilitate the 1-day OB Emergencies workshop delivery and may be involved in updating or delivering OB in the ED modules. Other activity may include supplementing the OB RN Roundtable (quarterly, 3-hour meetings), new educational material development & delivery as needed, and/or responsive support for the work of the Maternity Services grant activity of RWHC.

The role will be paid a competitive hourly rate which includes delivery preparation, class facilitation, and travel time to partnering facilities. When required, travel expenses to sites beyond RWHC (lodging, meals, mileage, etc.) are separately reimbursed.

Position Requirements:

· Registered nurse with current licensure in the state of WI

· MSN or BSN preferred, but candidate with extensive experience in maternity care and education will be considered

· 3-5 years as a professional nurse in an OB/Labor & Delivery/Maternity Services setting. Rural health care experience preferred.

· Previous teaching experience preferred. (Will be asked to teach a panel on a topic before being offered a position.)

· Experience in facilitation, development, and implementation of new program/services preferred
