Corrie Searles, MPT, Leadership Development Educator

With her 20+ years of experience in leadership both in and out of healthcare, her past roles have included leadership for therapy teams in hospitals, long term care, outpatient, and home health, as well as Cardiac Rehab, Occupational Health, Fitness Centers, and Stress Testing. Corrie has extensive experience in continuous improvement methodology and a passion for leadership development training. She has a Master’s in Physical Therapy, a Certificate in Organizational Leadership, and a Certificate in Customer Service & Leadership training with Achieve Global. She is certified to teach Crucial Conversations through Vital Smarts in addition to being a certified coach for Shift Positive 360.

Program Description:

Nearly every aspect of health care requires the coordination and collaboration of teams to execute on delivery of outcomes—both clinical and non-clinical. Facilitating a team of diverse individuals can be a struggle, despite the yielding rewards.

Join this interactive workshop to outline the typical life cycle of team formation—for both short-term or long-term teams. The workshop equips team leaders with strategies to support the success of the team at every stage. In addition, it highlights 9 common team dynamic dysfunctions with applicable interventions to prevent derailing forward progress.

Participants will learn to:

  1. Outline the feelings, behaviors, and leadership needs for the 4 Stages of Team Development
  2. Develop strategies for addressing common disruptive behaviors that occur in team atmospheres
