Program Description:

While the buzzwords you hear may not explicitly say it, dignity and a sense of belonging is at the core of an engaged and thriving workforce. How do you design a culture where employees can show up as themselves? Come to this workshop to connect in a meaningful way about what is truly at the heart of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Program Objectives:

  • Define belonging and compare to ‘fitting in’
  • Review the impacts to workplaces with high levels of belonging
  • Identify the relationship between belonging and psychological safety – and why it matters
  • Examine your individual and workplace capacity and commitment related to belonging
  • Identify practices and resources to use to develop high levels of belonging at work
  • Build a network of peers committed to designing more relational and inclusive workplaces

Come to this program if you:

  • Are not really sure of your role in the design of an inclusive workplace
  • Don’t understand how a culture of belonging is related to employee retention
  • Want to better understand how to recognize the inherent dignity of employees and patients
  • Have had experiences with feeling like an outsider within your organization
