Target Audience:
Any healthcare-related worker
Program Description:
Public speaking may be needed in your role on occasion. If you’re like 70% of the population, the idea of speaking in front of others creates a little (or a lot!) of anxiety. That doesn’t have to be a barrier to speaking publicly. With the help of this workshop, you can gain skills, learn to master the butterflies, and confidently deliver a presentation that nails the intended results.
Participants will learn to:
- Highlight what does/doesn’t work well when public speaking
- Outline steps to take both before & during presentations to ensure they are delivered & received well
- Consider the unique aspects related to presenting virtually
- Explore strategies for overcoming stage fright
- Practice a 2-minute speech, receiving positive & constructive feedback to improve future public speaking skills
Consider taking this workshop if the following are mostly true for you:
- You’d rather pull out your own fingernails one by one than speak in front of a group
- Your role necessitates speaking publicly and you want to do so with poise and polish
- You want to continue to build your public speaking skillset
- You want to address habits that get in the way of your presentation effectiveness
- You are committed to delivering presentations that are clear and well-received by the audience
